Chaperones

Professional, Trained & Experienced.

At Cameron Kids Associates (CKA), we prioritize the safety and well-being of all young performers in our care. We are proud to have a team of chaperones who are trained to the highest standards to ensure a safe and supportive environment for your child during their journey in the entertainment industry.

CHAPERONE QUALIFICATIONS

Our chaperones undergo rigorous training through reputable organizations, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the unique challenges that come with working with young performers. Here’s a breakdown of the training programs our chaperones complete:

  1. PART (Performing Arts and Recreation Training):
    • This program focuses on best practices in safeguarding children in performance settings. Chaperones learn about child welfare regulations, managing child behaviour, and creating a positive atmosphere on set or stage.

  1. BECTU (Broadcasting, Entertainment, Cinematograph and Theatre Union):
    • BECTU is a leading union in the UK that provides training and resources for professionals in the entertainment industry. Our chaperones receive specialised training in health and safety, ensuring they are prepared to address any issues that may arise during rehearsals or performances.

  1. City & Guilds Training:
    • The City & Guilds training program offers recognized qualifications in various fields, including working with children in performance contexts. Our chaperones gain valuable skills in communication, child development, and emergency procedures, ensuring they are equipped to support young performers effectively.

RESPONSIBILITY OF CHAPERONES

Our trained chaperones play a crucial role in the following areas:

  • Supervision: Ensuring the safety and well-being of young performers during rehearsals, performances, and on-set activities.
  • Support: Providing emotional and practical support to help children feel comfortable and confident in their roles.
  • Communication: Acting as a liaison between parents, guardians, and production teams to ensure everyone is informed and on the same page.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Being trained to handle emergencies and know how to respond quickly should any issues arise.

CONCLUSION

At CKA, we understand that the safety and comfort of young performers are paramount. Our chaperones, trained by Arlene Cruz and accredited through PART, BECTU, and City & Guilds, ensure that children in our agency receive the highest level of care and support. We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where young talents can thrive, and we are proud of the standards our chaperones uphold.
